He has won several awards for best director, best editor, and his film “Abduction” won the TLA award for best film of 2010. He recently completed three television pilots and is in the process of pitching them to the networks. He puts all that knowledge into every wedding and event he films.
John is also an accomplished musician. He has played lead guitar is some of the most popular bands in the New York and New Jersey area. He also composes all the soundtracks for his films and television shows most with a full orchestra.

Over the last 5 years have been very exciting because of the new technogoly coming out. When I first started it was SVHS and that was the media to use.Now today we have media cards where tapes are thing of the past. No drop outs, no tapes being eaten by the deck!
My other passion are cars, I have been a gear head junky all my life. I have a pontiac G8 that I auto cross and quater mile run. I have a 2 year old son and a fifteen year old son and been married for nine years.

When at the reception there is no tripod or dolly system used on the dance floor,I shoot on a very up to date stabilizing bracket system. Nikki K is one of the only true Open Format DJs based in tri- state NJ area. He has been tied into the mobile DJ industry (beginning when he was 16 years old) spinning tracks at private events to include weddings, school functions, corporate events, as well as private parties all over New Jersey and New York. Billy D has been a DJ since the age of 12, giving him 14 years of experience. He’s done everything from Clubs/Bars and lounges throughout the tri-state area to weddings , Sweet 16′s and upscale corporate events.
Born into music , Billy’s mother was a lead singer and guitar player for multiple bands around New York. At a young age, he was exposed to music in a different way than most people. When Billy was 10 his father opened the first night club on Staten Island called Eclipse. From the start, Billy was drawn to the DJ. Night in and night out different DJ’s would come in and have the place rocking. Billy knew that’s what he wanted to be. At the age of 12, when most children were receiving toys and games for Christmas, Billy received a gift that would launch a career in music; 2 turntables and mixer.
Billy started by performing at house parties for friends and family as a young boy. His first paying job came at the age of 14 when he did a friend’s 14th birthday party in a backyard. He never looked back. By 16 he was working for 2 DJ companies performing at various mobile events. At 17, he broke into the bar and club scene in Brooklyn. In college, he developed a reputation as a premier and professional DJ. He is consistently hired by past satisfied customers.
Throughout his 14 year career Billy has seen and done it all, from high end weddings, super sweet 16’s,engagement celebrations, and birthday parties for all ages in New York, New Jersey and Long Island to some of the hottest clubs around such as China Club (NYC), Colosseum (NJ), Capri (Bay Ridge,BK).
Today, Billy is a steady working DJ/Emcee. Whether you prefer classic Disco, Hip Hop and R & B or today’s hottest club music, DJ Billy D puts his heart and soul into his performance and is sure to make your event one to remember forever.

In 1986 my journey began as a young dj at the age of only 14. Breakdance was in all its glory as well as radio itself and it was a dream to be one the best djs known in my area. I soon realized I was not restricted to just one area and with help of some family members we formed Dimension 2000. Our goal was to make the best shows possible for all Sweet 15-16 celebrants as well as brides to be. This journey was going strong as we covered most of the South in the Island of Puerto Rico. However I was faced with the challenge of moving and leaving all behind. In 1989 I decided to move back to my hometown of Bethlehem PA. After graduating High school I proceeded to go to my local community college and eventually was able to land a radio show on the college radio station 97.7 WNCC. At that point the college decided to go off air and become an internal station only heard in college facilities as well as dorm areas. Several years later I volunteered to do another radio show, this time on Lehigh University’s public radio station 91.3 WLVR. Meanwhile I was still providing my services to many Brides and Sweet 15-16 celebrants. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and have 25+ years experience covering all types of events from different backgrounds making me a well rounded choice for your special day.
Why I Became a DJ: I became a Dj because I enjoy what I do and take extreme pride in it. Music is my life and knowing I came bring joy to many with what I love makes me happy, specially when I know I can make your special day, just that……………………. S P E C I A L !!!
Wedding Planning Advice : When choosing a DJ please remember anyone can press a button. What you want is someone that has experience with all types of music and is willing to make sure your event is a success.
